BENOCS Analytics is a tool for analyzing traffic flows inside a network. The system that supports BENOCS Analytics is connected directly to the customer’s network core. Once connected, the system collects data from the Data and the Planes of the network to provide its traffic analysis.
Because BENOCS Analytics uses data from within a customer’s network it requires the network to be configured to export data from standardized protocols such as
- Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- flow protocols such as netflow, jflow, sflow, etc.
- Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) / Telemetry
- Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP)
Exporting these protocols is the only modification of the customer’s network that is needed to enable the tool.
The system that supports BENOCS Analytics is built upon standard x86/x64 architecture. It does not require any special hardware and runs on both hosted and virtualized environments. Due to its ability to efficiently handle large amounts of data, it provides reliable and fast correlation of data streams on moderate hardware requirements.
BENOCS Analytics is offered as a full SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, which means that BENOCS will take care of its installation, operation and maintenance throughout the life cycle of the application. Moreover, BENOCS will automatically update the application when new features are released.
BENOCS Analytics is designed as a set of different modules that can operate independently of each other. Due to the potentially sensitive information the system handles this modularization allows a separation of concerns of concerns at the level of users. As a result, its operation can be adjusted according to different security levels within an organization.
